Noetix’s Booth and Tradeshow Strategy Also Win “Most Visionary” and “Best Traffic Stopper” at COLLABORATE 09

REDMOND, Wash. – Noetix Corp., a software provider that automatically generates business intelligence (BI) content from enterprise applications, today announced it won three prestigious awards, including “Best of Show,” at the annual Oracle Applications Users Group (OAUG) conference, COLLABORATE 09, which was held May 3 – 7 in Orlando. The Exhibitor Awards program, hosted by the OAUG Forum, honors those OAUG exhibitors who demonstrate excellence in brand marketing, creativity, innovation, and booth staffing with the Best of Show competition that includes several different categories.

A panel of OAUG member judges selected Noetix as “Best Traffic Stopper” and “Most Visionary” for a booth 400 sq. ft. or larger. The “Best Traffic Stopper” award goes to booths that tend to create traffic jams on the show floor and go above and beyond to attract and excite tradeshow attendees. The “Most Visionary” award goes to the exhibitor with the most creative and unique booth design, including the best technical implementation, layout, and flow.

“As a Five-Star Partner of the OAUG for the past six years and a member of the organization since 1994, Noetix has had a long-standing commitment to helping Oracle customers maximize the return on their investments in Oracle Applications,” said Denise Quashie, director of Strategic Relations for the OAUG. “We always look forward to seeing how the Noetix marketing team will pull out all the stops with their innovation and strategic thinking, and this year was no exception. At this year’s show, the buzz around the Noetix booth was palpable, and through a creative marketing campaign the company extended its presence to every corner of the show floor.”

As one of its many promotional activities during the tradeshow, Noetix gave away tuxedo front t-shirts featuring the company’s 15-year anniversary logo on the back. The shirt came wrapped with a letter instructing show attendees that “Getting Noticed Pays.” Those who wore the shirt and were seen by a Noetix “Tuxedo Spotter” received a special entry form for a drawing to win a grand prize of $1,500 or one of 15 second place prizes of $100. The more the attendees wore their anniversary tuxedo shirts throughout the show, the more chances they had to enter the drawing held in the booth on the last day of the event.

“It was especially gratifying for us to win the esteemed ‘Best of Show’ honor during our 15th year in business,” said Sally Hicks, director, marketing at Noetix. “Noetix’s exhibit marketing theme for COLLABORATE 09 was designed around our anniversary celebration concept, and it was honestly a lot of fun being able to see how our integrated campaign and its different elements finally came together on the show floor.”

MBs in ASEAN countries look towards CRM solutions to become more competitive, says AMI —

SINGAPORE – Software spending by medium businesses (MBs, companies with 100-999 employees) in ASEAN (Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand and Vietnam) reached US$233 million in 2008—with $24 million coming from CRM solutions. The spending is nascent across ASEAN countries but its growth rate has been impressive. CRM software spending grew by 21% since 2007 and is set to continue growing even in the current economic situation.

“Medium businesses in ASEAN are beginning to look at CRM software as a tool to enable their companies to be more competitive – especially in the current recession,” says Daniel Sim, Consulting and Research Manager for AMI-Partners. About 80% of medium businesses have rated “competition” as highest among the list of challenges they face. “Next to competition, the next most challenging area for is improving profitability. In addition to generating new sales, companies are paying more attention to retaining existing customers and not losing them to competitors. “Companies with CRM deployment are in better position to compete given the access to customers’ information and fine tuning the information into actionable plans,” maintains Mr. Sim.

Comparing across countries in ASEAN, Singapore has the highest penetration of CRM at 18%. Singapore’s high level of ICT adoption and its strong global business relationships are key reasons for the high adoption of CRM solutions. In terms of CRM modules adopted by medium businesses in ASEAN, sales force automation is currently the highest. Call centers are the next highest in demand. Businesses are looking to understanding their customers’ preferences in greater detail. As companies generate lesser sales in the current economic climate, businesses are increasingly focusing on retaining existing customers to generate sales.

As AMI intelligence points toward greater relevance of CRM deployment in helping businesses stay competitive, CRM vendors would do well to capitalize on this opportunity. Vendors should look at their product offerings and determine the right product mix for medium businesses yet to deploy CRM solutions. Vendors should also be aware that more than half of the currently deployed CRM solutions are home-grown solutions. These home-grown solutions differ from solution to solution and do not necessarily have the capabilities of industry-proven solutions from the likes of Microsoft, Oracle or SAP. CRM as SaaS is still in its infancy at this moment. SaaS-based CRM contributed more than 1% of total deployed SaaS solutions in ASEAN. Although unchartered waters for most medium businesses, respondents are telling AMI-Partners that the low-cost and hassle-free setup are worth considering.

CRM is expected to grow in 2009 at a slower rate of 18% over 2008. Vendors focusing on new accounts from medium businesses will face more challenges. Creative selling is needed to sign up new customers from the 88% non-CRM businesses and convincing users of existing CRM-deployed solutions to switch to a better product. Developing relationships with the right channel partners with a good understanding of their customers’ business development requirement may hold the key to success in selling CRM solutions.

Related Studies

AMI-Partners’ offers many reports covering MBs in the ASEAN countries. These studies highlight major trends in the context of current/planned IT, Internet and communications usage and spending. Products and services covered include established and emerging hardware, software, applications and business process solutions. Based on AMI-Partners’ annual surveys of SMBs in India, the studies track a broad spectrum of issues pertaining to budgets, purchase behaviors, decision influencers, channel preferences, outsourcing, service and support. Also covered are detailed firmographics and critically important technology attitudes and strategic planning priorities. This data points to key opportunities and messaging hot buttons for vendors and service providers seeking to match their offerings to SMB market requirements.

In light of global recessionary fears and the impact of economic downshifts on business, AMI-Partners has expanded its tracking studies to include several questions pertaining to SMBs’ perceptions of their dependence on local, national and global economies as well as their expectations about economic growth. These questions gained added significance in light of the timing of this year’s studies, which overlapped with the global financial crisis starting in mid-September. AMI-Partners’ studies, thus, present an early picture of an SMB market undergoing a major transition. Given that many SMBs are at the leading edge of this transition, AMI-Partners has included an additional analysis in this year’s reports to assess demographics, attitudes, current IT adoption as well as planned IT purchases among “concerned SMBs” compared to the rest of the market. (AMI-Partners defines concerned SBs as those that expect the local/regional economy will get worse in the next one year and concerned MBs as those that expect the local/regional, national or global economy to get worse in the next one year.)

For more information about this study, AMI-Partners, or our global SMB research, call 212-944-5100, e-mail ask_ami@ami-partners.com or visit the AMI website at www.ami-partners.com.

REDMOND, Wash. – Noetix Corp., a software provider that automatically generates business intelligence (BI) content from enterprise applications, introduced Noetix Generator 2.0 for Oracle Business Intelligence, making it faster and easier to roll out reporting to Oracle Business Intelligence Suite Enterprise Edition Plus (OBI EE) and Oracle Business Intelligence Standard Edition One end users.

This new version of Noetix Generator for Oracle BI is now integrated with NoetixAnswers, pre-built reports that answer hundreds of common business questions ‘out-of-the-box’ without the need to map data locations or write SQL code.

Noetix Generator for Oracle BI automatically creates the Enterprise Information Model for Oracle E-Business Suite (EBS) and PeopleSoft Enterprise applications, and publishes this information for end-user reporting and ad hoc query within the Oracle BI repository. Report authors and query users can instantly access their application data through logical business views that include complex joins and business-friendly terminology. The result is an immediately accessible self-service reporting environment that includes automatically generated pre-built reports with charts and graphs within Oracle BI Answers and Oracle Interactive Dashboards.

“Noetix provides us with the ideal reporting solution for accessing our EBS data via OBI EE and lays the foundation for a more strategic data warehouse implementation,” said Pat Krause, president at IT Convergence, a global enterprise application services provider. “By automating the process required to build the OBI EE repository, Noetix saved us a tremendous amount of time during the administrative setup. In addition, Noetix delivered hundreds of report templates that our end users could immediately execute to answer their questions or customize to meet their operational and ad hoc needs.”

With support for more than 30 of the most popular Oracle EBS applications spanning Financials, Discrete Manufacturing and Process Manufacturing, Advanced Supply Chain Planning, HR, Benefits, Payroll, and many others, Noetix provides the broadest and deepest coverage, giving users answers to their most commonly asked business questions.

In addition, Noetix shields reports and queries from the impact of application upgrades and patches by remapping the views to accommodate any changes in the underlying database. This saves Oracle customers time and money that would otherwise be spent rewriting reports.

“Customers need to get value quickly from their investments and implementing OBI EE is no different,” said Daryl Orts, vice president of Engineering Technologies at Noetix. “Many can’t afford to wait for a data warehouse to be built before their users can get started. With Noetix, they don’t have to wait.”

About Noetix

More than 1,400 customers worldwide use Noetix to quickly and cost-effectively access the enterprise application data they need to make important business decisions every day. By providing instant, configuration-specific operational reporting and ad hoc query for Oracle E-Business Suite, PeopleSoft Enterprise, and Siebel CRM, Noetix delivers the fastest time to business answers. Our patented, metadata-driven technology and lean architecture deliver immediate access to data, resulting in the lowest-cost BI solution to acquire, implement, and maintain. Easy search and navigation capability allows users to create ad hoc reports and answer their own operational questions without additional assistance from IT staff. Noetix’s proven technology is being used by industry-leading customers worldwide, including: Cummins, Motorola, Starbucks, Toshiba, Welch’s, and Visa. The company is headquartered in Redmond, Wash., with international operations in London and Hyderabad, India.

Noetix is a registered trademark of Noetix Corp.
